Wild Adornments

About the Artist — Helen Michaletos

For over two decades, Helen Michaletos has walked a path shaped by both art and ancestral calling.

Initiated as a traditional African healer more than 22 years ago, her journey is deeply intertwined with the rhythms of the natural world. Alongside her studies in fine art, she has been guided by a profound connection to the African bush, its medicinal wisdom, its spiritual depth, and its quiet, enduring power.

Drawing from this dual heritage, Helen gathers natural objects from across Africa, fragments of landscape, memory, and meaning. Each piece is carefully selected, then cast in metal, preserving its raw, organic form while transforming it into something enduring.

These creations, known as Wild Adornments, are more than objects. They are stories held in form. Symbols shaped by nature. Artefacts that carry both beauty and significance.

Every design is ethically sourced and deeply rooted in the natural world, a meeting point between earth, spirit, and craft.
